VIVID UI Effect Framework completed through
Acrodea, HI Corp cooperation

April 14, 2009 (Tokyo, Japan)—Acrodea, Inc. (CEO and President: Junya Tsutsumi), headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo has completed VIVID UI Effect Framework in cooperation with HI Corporation (CEO and President: Kazuo Kawabata), headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo.

VIVID UI Effect Framework is offered as a framework of optional features to VIVID UI®, such as high-speed rendering that leverages hardware capability on a mobile terminal and screen effects that use 2D and 3D graphics functionality. Up until now, the attainment of complicated screen transition effects has required sophisticated knowledge, such as script coding, and much time on the part of user interface (UI) designers. VIVID UI Effect Framework, however, provides a standard selection of various types of effects. Their selection and combination results in simple embedding of superior screen transition effects to UI in a much shorter amount of time. The resulting application development for mobile terminals can deliver a high-quality user experience. HI Corporation has provided a portion of the effects deployed in the current VIVID UI Effect Framework. Sophisticated 3D rendering with HI’s MascotCapsule®** generated outstanding expressions for those effects.

About MascotCapsule

MascotCapsule is a series of real-time 3D rendering engines that operates across a wide range of devices, including mobile phones, for processing of 3D graphics in real time for applications. Consisting of seven implementation options—V1 through V4, nano, eruption, and Renderion, the various engines complement the hardware execution environment without relying on the underlying operating system, and render 3D graphics vastly more intriguing than 2D, regardless of constraints in processor resources.
