Intercom Link System Jointly Developed with NTT DOCOMO

September 24, 2009 (Tokyo, Japan)—Acrodea, Inc. (President: Junya Tsutsumi), headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, and NTT DOCOMO, Inc. (President and CEO: Ryuji Yamada), headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, have jointly developed an intercom link system.
The intercom link system developed jointly by Acrodea and NTT DOCOMO implements VIVID UI®, the user interface platform developed by Acrodea and embedded to mobile telephones, and a ubiquitous plug-in module. The system enables telecommunications, such as visitor’s video and audio and various data, between an entrance intercom unit of a condominium or apartment complex and a mobile telephone terminal via SIP (IETF standard telecommunications protocol). The mobile telephone can also execute certain remote operations. Instead of the conventional, in-home master intercom or additional in-home master intercoms, the mobile telephone terminal provides a means to verify and respond to visitors through voice communication and entry unlocking, as well as to receive advice regarding deliveries or alarms, as long as the terminal remains within the range of the wireless LAN installed at the respective complex.
A demonstration of the system will be exhibited at CEATEC Japan 2009, beginning on October 6, 2009.
