(CEO and President: Maki Kinoshita), headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, jointly announced today the development of "VIVID Touch", a solution framework that employs Felica, a contactless IC card technology format, to link mobile telephone terminals and on-premise amusement units.
VIVID Touch is a solution framework that can deliver appealing services to, and link via FeliCa between mobile telephone terminals and on-premise amusement units. For instance, this interface enables data from an on-premise amusement game to be stored on a mobile phone, or to be transferred from a mobile phone to an on-premise amusement game, with a single sensor interaction. As a member of the Solutions Partnership Program that provides technical and sales support from Felica Networks Co., Ltd., concerning a variety of information about mobile Felica, Acrodea is eyeing compatibility with the latest, second-generation mobile FeliCa IC chip, and attainment of high-volume data communications. Acrodea and Future Mobile will simultaneously provide a development kit (SDK) necessary for configuring VIVID Touch, as well as the application layer (API and data structure) for embedding to amusement equipment systems to enable the immediate structuring of proprietary services. Beyond amusement equipment, applicable fields for the application layer provided are expected to have a broad domain, which will include medical appliances and POS systems.
