VIVID UI is a user interface platform developed by Acrodea for mobile phones, and represents innovative middleware that can integrate various types of multimedia content, such as 3D graphics, animation, and movies. VIVID UI enables mobile phones that can be readily customized with graphically enhanced menus and standby screens previously unimplemented. The handset models SH903i, SH903iTV, and SH703i permit full-size movies on backgrounds to menus as rich graphical functionality that has not been implemented before. The models are also compatible with NTT DoCoMo’s new service Kisekae Tool.* VIVID UI Workshop has been selected as the authoring tool with Kisekae Tool, and permits a variety of customizations.
